At Paladin Studios I worked together with Nintendo Japan on the award winning title Good Job! as a Senior Level Designer.
I was responsible for the creation and iteration on multiple key levels and areas, helping to shape the level design pipeline and workflow, as well as providing feedback on the majority of levels and mechanics throughout the game.
Each level in Good Job! focuses on a new concept, exploring the limits of the idea before moving onto the next one. This posed unique challenges within Level Design that required myself and the team to constantly think outside the box.
My work involved:
Design, create and iterate on multiple levels and key areas within the game.
Lead a multi-discipline team of developers responsible for various mechanics and levels.
Working closely with game directors in Nintendo Japan on a regular basis to develop our workflow and improve the game.
Help shape the core gameplay features and level design pillars, as well as the level design pipeline.
Providing feedback to each level of the game and the tools used to create it, as well as offering guidance to junior members of the team.
